Freshtown Farm is a community supported farm- a partnership between farmers and customers. We are a sustainable, small scale one acre farm based both on the South Side of Columbus and in Pataskala, Ohio. Our small community supported agriculture (CSA) program offers hyper-local, super fresh vegetables from our farm to your door. Through this partnership we strive to create a local food system that works for everyone. Some of your CSA dollars go to subsidize a weekly, donation-based farm stand on the South Side providing access to fresh produce to all members of our community.
Freshtown Farm’s produce is grown without the use of any synthetic or artificial fertilizers or pesticides. Almost all of the vegetables are started from seed on the farm. The land is fertilized with aged compost and cover crops which are geared to provide soil fertility. We believe that soil health is the basis for low impact farming and efficient small acreage production.
