Each seedlings box contains a hand-picked selection of vegetables, herbs, or flowers that are ready to be planted. Seasonal recipes and storage tips for each variety can always be found here.
We believe in supporting biological and culinary diversity. Therefore we aim to grow varieties that are beautiful, unique, delicious, and fun to cook. Have questions? Ask us!

What’s in a box?
You can expect to find 8-10 different varieties in each box (below is a list of plants you might find in your seedling box this spring). There may be multiple plants of popular varieties like cherry tomatoes or basil, but we’ll also do our best to provide variety in colors, textures, and flavors. We will do our best to honor requests for the inclusion (or exclusion) of certain plants.

Why subscribe to the seedling box?
Our seedlings are selected and grown with care. We use organic, open-pollinated, and heirloom varieties whenever possible and we try to support small family farms when purchasing seeds (check out some of our favorite seed companies here). Our potting soil and organic fertilizer are from Ohio Earth Food. We do not use any synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides. Ever. Our containers are biodegradable. And we choose varieties that can’t be found in bigger, commercial nurseries. Our seedlings are safe for bees to pollinate and people to eat. Plus, none of the seedlings come with a registered TM or other patent protection– all of the seeds can be saved and used again.
